Good and accurate information is essential to anyone who is trying to understand their sexual orientation, trying to get past the confusion that's all too often present. And it's essential as you continue your journey and think about coming out.

OutProud offers these brochures to help you get the answers you need. Whether you're gay, lesbian, bisexual, still figuring things out, or someone who just wants to better understand what it means to be a lesbigay individual, we think you'll find this literature helpful and informative.

Be Yourself - Questions and Answers for Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual Youth - This brochure takes you through the many questions you may be facing, if you're trying to understand whether or not you're gay, lesbian or bisexual. And helps you with the issues you'll face as you begin to consider telling others. This brochure is the best place for any lesbigay or questioning teen to start. Developed by PFLAG in 1994.

Coming Out to Your Parents - An earlier brochure from PFLAG and forerunner to Be Yourself, this brochure covers in detail the issues you're likely to face when you decide to "come out" to your parents. It's a good idea to read this before you take that step, because it's important to be prepared for the questions they're likely to ask, and the range of possible responses they may have. Developed by PFLAG.

For Parents of Gay Children - It's a good idea to have materials available for your parents to read when you come out to them. It's typical that they'll be surprised, and whatever they're reaction, it's likely that they have a lack of information (and possibly even have misinformation) about what it means for their son or daughter to be gay, lesbian or bisexual. This brochure was written for parents (although it's good reading for you, too) and can help them on their own journeys of acceptance. Developed by PFLAG.

I Think I Might Be Gay ... Now What Do I Do? - This is another good brochure to help you figure out whether those feelings of being attracted to other guys is an indication that you're gay. Developed by The Campaign to End Homophobia.

I Think I Might Be a Lesbian ... Now What Do I Do? - This brochure is written by lesbian youth, for lesbian youth and those questioning their sexual orientation. It offers some very good perspectives to help you figure out feelings you may be having of being attracted to other girls. Developed by The Campaign to End Homophobia.

Watching Out for Yourself in Online Relationships - Tips for the Lesbigay Teen - This brochure was created to help protect you as you explore the online world. For some, it can be like growing up in a small town in the Midwest and all of a sudden finding yourself thrown in the middle of New York City. It's important to make sure you have the skills you need to get by. We care about your safety and hope you'll read this brochure before you go any farther. Developed by OutProud
